Children Art Psychology
Do you like drawing while you were still a kid? Do you remember what you have drawn? Has anyone praised your artwork? Still remember how happy it was when your artwork was pasted on the board? And have you seen kid’s drawings after you’ve grown up? Do you think it’s just simply graffiti? Never wanted to have a second look at it? Do you have the intention to understand what they’re trying to say? Actually, there’s never a “beautiful or ugly” concept as a standard nor criterion for kids’ drawings. By attentively accompanying them, encouraging them, and allowing them to express their feelings and thoughts on drawing blocks, and through appreciating and knowing their feelings, then, you will get touched by them. An American art reviewer, READ (1958) said: “To deliver thoughts, words and language will be the finest device; to convey feelings, drawings will be a supreme instrument.” In this column, let’s enjoy and appreciate some of the kids’ artworks.
