1. This is drawn by a standard 6 girl.
2. Blue signifies changes. The girl was putting herself under the blue rain, which shows that she’s feeling uncomfortable while facing some changes from the inner environment and the outer environment. In the drawing, she was wearing dark red and white coloured shirt, holding a dark purple umbrella. This shows that she’s facing some challenges which made her self esteem low. In addition, it shows that she want to hide herself from meeting people. Yellow colour signifies her desire of living happier.
3. She drew something similar to some cracks in green. Green represents her parents gripe, and she wanted to release a kind of suppression. Dark purple is a colour that is very rare to exist in the children’s drawings. It is only seen when the kids have gone through some accident or was feeling strongly uncomfortable. Blue and yellow are two opposition colours, which represent 2 different voices in her head. Flowers represent spring and some achieved goals. The brown pillar represents her relationship with her mother. This is a good relationship, which could be seen through her brushwork.
4. She said that her mother’s leaving the family to study overboard. Her brother would be staying with her father. But she’s right at the time of reaching adolescence. Hence, her mother arranged her to live with her grandmother. She felt like she was left outside of the family when she thought about herself being unable to live together with her father and brother. After she drew this, she released her feelings about this issue. After that, she became more joyful and said that she could be with her family again when her mother comes back.
