1. Some said 13 wasn’t a lucky number. But some said 13 possess a positive power. But this all depends on our perception and how we face it. This is a drawing by a kid from kindergarten.
2. After the summer holiday, this boy is going to join in form 1 in high school. In his drawing, there are thirteen faces. There’s one crying, smiling, being angry, and there’s also the one in green and blue colour. When I asked him: “Where’s the nose?” He just asked me curiously: “What does a nose do?” Then I told him that the nose is used to breathe and to smell.
3. The main object we see in this drawing is the face in orange colour. The teeth weren’t in order, which looked similar to his. I think this kid might be breathing with his mouth. According to dentists, when people have a sensitive nose, which they couldn’t breathe well, they would breathe with their mouth. And because of this, when the air is frequently moving in and out of his teeth, his teeth would grow to be not that neat. The human organ which wasn’t used so often would be ignored by the kids. This is why we don’t see the nose in this drawing.
4. From the beginning, he was thought to just have a sensitive nose. But only recently when his nose was bleeding, he was taken to the hospital for check up. Till then he was identified to have Cytopathic and was forced to leave the school earlier to rest. When his mother came to pick him up, she asked me about his drawings. I told her that he still has the energy in him, and that he has enough power to fight against the illness. His mother was so proud and touched to have a son that’s so brave when he’s facing his problems. He promised her not to cry no matter how suffering it is. She was proud to have an understanding child.
5. However, he has left us while the author wrote this article.
