Q&A with Ikeda Sensei

Have you ever wanted to ask Mr. Ikeda a few questions? Questions like “what does he do everyday?” or even questions about your problem? Mr. Ikeda will always answer us no matter how busy he is. He believes that everyone’s a great leader of the 21st century. There’s nothing more important than to nurture and foster you! Let's study the following article “Q&A with Ikeda Sensei” sincerely.

Chapter 1   The key to the future!

Q1, what do you do as occupation?

A:         “Encourage everyone”. Writing articles and guidance in hope that everyone will be high-spirited and healthy. There are people I could or could not meet; some are near and some could be in another country. However, I never stop praying throughout the year for their health and happiness.

Q2, what is the most important thing for us as a human?

A:         I hope that you would “keep your promises”. I have met so many leaders from all around the world. Each of them kept their promises. Being a person who keeps his/her promises is noble.

Q3, how do you feel when you were taking photos?

A:         Carrying an attitude of “having a dialogue with nature” while pressing the shutter. With such attitude, we’re able of seeing ourselves and our life clearly. The nature is a piece of mirror.

Q4, I just had a fight with my friends!

A:         Even if you had a fight with your friends, never allow yourself to grow hate. Never think of unfriending that person. When we change our mindset, everything will appear to be different. Be it our fault or our friend’s problem, we must always remember to reflect ourselves. Bring out the courage in you to take the initiative to apologize to your friend. At this point, it seems like a fight is a chance to bring us closer to our friends.

Q5, How do you study?

A:        I don’t have any special method to study. If you have the will to study well, then you must work even harder. My attitude was to improve myself, to strive for another 5 minutes more.

Q6, I just encountered a very tough person!

A:         Regardless if that person is someone you hate, you’d still have to chant for him/her. It may seem difficult from the beginning, but we must persevere on the challenge and chant. Someday, it’ll all change. When we change, that person will change as well. No matter how, we must guide ourselves to the positive direction. When we could change ourselves to chant for people like that, it is our greatest treasure then.

Q7, what’s the most important thing in life?

A:         “Friendship”, friendship is the most valuable treasure. This is my conclusion of life. As a senior in life, I’d like to tell all of you that the more friendship you develop, the broader your life is. Friendship helps to multiply our happiness and divide our sadness.

Q8, What is the purpose of having university?

A:         I think that “University is established for those who couldn’t study in university”. Those who had the opportunity to study in a university has the responsibility to serve those who couldn’t.
