Question: I feel easily exhausted recently. I don’t feel energetic at all, what should I do?
Answer:
We must not take it for granted when we’re not feeling well. Please remember to visit the clinic for a check-up.
However, activity of the heart and body is inseparable. When you had an idea of doing something, your brain will send out nerves to demand for a raise in Naradrenaline level. It is a substance that helps lubricates and makes us think quicker.
On the other hand, when our will is low the Naradrenaline level will decrease, causing the brain to be inactive for the moment. If this persists, we may truly become a slow thinker someday. For example, if we do not have the will to study, our brain will not be active either. But if we a strong determination to study, our body will prepare our mind to be in its best condition.
I believe most of us have been through situations like this: when we’re nervous, our face would appear to be pale and our body shivers. But when we’re delighted, our face turns red and our hearts pump fast. This proves the inseparable relationship between the heart and the body. This is what the Buddhism teaches “oneness of body and mind”, whereby “body” indicates our physical body and what we could see and “mind” describes the mental and spiritual activity in us. Both “body” and “mind” are inseparable.
Our body becomes weak when our hearts grow weak. If you have a strong Ichinen, you could promote the potential in your body. In contrary, if your heart stays weak, your body could even be vulnerable to illness. Our hearts are often the very reason that our body becomes weak.
If we fall ill because our hearts were weak, it takes longer to get well from it. A well-known American surgeon, Professor Claire stated, “Many cancer patients have succeeded in creating miracles with their faith and hope. However, those who live in despair tend to worsen the situation.” Therefore, there’s no medicine stronger than “hope” itself! A correct religion is what gives us hope and strength to go through tough challenges as such.
When we’re dealing with hardships, our will to overcome it grant us the energy to exceed our own limit to give our best shot for a 110% or even 120%! In contrary, when our will to fight is low, we could have gone further down from 50% of our energy. According to medical researches, our heart determines secretion of hormone, hence causing fatigue and slow reaction. Nevertheless, we must always remember to be determined to challenge our own problems with the potential in us!
