The peace constructive speech given by Ikeda Sensei is to commemorate the SGI Day which takes place on every 26th of January. Currently, it has been circulating throughout the world through various languages.  It had even been adapted by some well-known Institute of Peace through their magazines.

In spite of the absence of political influence in these constructive speeches, the contexts are brimming of Ikeda Sensei’s sincerity towards world peace. Years after years, Ikeda Sensei’s speech had constantly advocated and received utmost valuation from the people of various countries. Thus, this is an effort that will help to spread the ideology of world peace worldwide.

The major content of Ikeda Sensei’s speech is written in portrayal of the erosion of virtue, environmental destruction, racial issue, and poverty amongst developing countries. With the fundaments of the Buddhism, Ikeda Sensei mentioned that there will be a solution to overcome these only when there is Human Revolution.

Ikeda Sensei further urged that dialogue as an important step to prevent diplomatic urgency and war, while organizing cultural activities in exchange of thought could uplift one’s virtue. By educating the people to cherish natural resources, we hope that all the people would help protect the earth and construct a world out of peace.

From the past 30 years, a great number of speeches were written to guide people for advancement like a compass. For example, during the America-Russian cold war, Ikeda Sensei urged both countries to resort to dialogue and mitigated the development of nuclear weapon. That was once a rigid issue to be talked about, but Ikeda Sensei succeeded in his effort to bring peace.

Through these speeches, we comprehend world issues better. We strive to outdo one another in solving global issues including social and environmental problems. Ikeda Sensei has been constantly holding dialogue with leaders from different countries to express his constructive speech in the effort to create a peaceful and borderless nationality. Thus, other than having our personal issues endeavored, we should also be aware of global issues through reading and experiencing. We must widen up our perception to include the whole world.
