The battle in Lilliput (In the Human body)
One day, the elder brother of the germs told his brothers that he heard there was a Lilliput country where they would get to find great food. He then asked his people to move there.

His brothers expressed consent to this idea, they finally agreed to go to the Lilliput country.

The Lilliput country claimed by the leader was actually a human body. In the perspective of microorganism like germs, human body is deemed as a big Lilliput country because they are a lot smaller than human.

Once it was decided, they began finding for a target and not too long later they found a child, Xiao Ming. They were eager to infiltrate into Xiao Ming’s body but it was not easy because Xiao Ming had a thick epidermis layer. Despite searching throughout everywhere , the germs did not find a suitable place to infiltrate into his body. Later they managed to find a loophole on the skin thanks to the great observation of their 3rd brother. There was a very tall strand of hair standing at the middle of the hole and that was actually the excretion hole of human sweats. As they wanted to infiltrate through the hole, there was a water wave coming out and later had them pushed far away. The water stink and it was acidic, preventing them to enter his body. Later, they realized that the water they had come into contact was actually human sweat.

They weren’t able to infiltrate into the castle because there wasn’t a door to. One day, they found an opportunity when Xiao Ming just had a finger cut. The wound was tantamount to an opening of castle gate to them. The germ brothers infiltrated into Xiao Ming body through the blood stream and they had later multiplied from 1 to 2 and 2 to 4…

Human body was portrayed as the Lilliput country place, there were some of the tiny inhabitants living within, they were known as the white blood cells. Their job was to protect the safety of all human body. At that time, there were some of the white blood cells patrolling in the country through the blood stream.

Out of sudden, they heard of something.
“This is not good, there are enemies ahead” They were alerted and rushed to the potentially threatened areas.

It took a short while for them to find the enemies.
“Put down your weapons and we won’t kill” hailed the white blood guards. However, the enemies did not cooperate and resorted to combat them. The white blood guards were pressed to swallow them by varying their form and emitted some kind of disinfection fluid. As a result, quite a number of the enemies were eliminated.

Nevertheless, the enemies couldn’t be easily put down because they were in a large number of population. The enemies resorted to combat the white blood cells at the advantage of their population and finally the white blood cells were pressed to retreat by a little.

At this time, the reinforcement for the white blood cells arrived at the war zone. They were known as the ‘macrophage’ who were armed in sturdy vest. They were as much courageous and heroic.

The enemies thought of escaping because the situation was not in favor of them. But the macrophage did not let them loose that they fired some enzymes particles toward the enemies. As a result, the eldest brother and most of the germ were eliminated while the germ number 2 and 3 and others managed to survive because they had fled away at the very beginning of the combat.
The refugees were in a mess while escaping that they lost each other heading to the east and west.
While the germ number 2 was escaping, he heard of a sudden hail “Freeze!” intended to him. Knowing the 9 most courageous macrophage brothers from the immune family were poising to destroy him.

At that time, the macrophage number 2 waved to his mates saying “Guys, quick! Let’s throw the grenades and have these enemies killed!”
Macrophage number 1stopped his mates and said “Wait, let’s not mistaken this time. Weren’t we used to do a mistake last time? It was us who mistakenly destroyed Xiao Ming’s renal cells and it eventually ended up not killing the enemies but causing Xiao Ming to suffer from kidney disease. This time we ought to be really cautious!”

Macrophage 3 agreed to his suggestion saying “You were right mate! Let’s not mistaken between enemies and the good cells, please allow me to have a look”.
Macrophage 3 walked towards the germ number 2 and performed a diagnose. After a thorough inspection, he shook his head saying he couldn’t differentiate whether it was an enemy or a good cell. Later he suggested everyone to have the antigen brothers to help differentiating it.

The antigen brothers A, G and M arrived in time as the suggestion was made. In a short while, the antigen brothers managed to identify the special trait of germ. They told the macrophage brothers not to under mind the tiny scale of germ because they could be really radical and tenacious. They later wrapped up the germ tightly and disinfected the poison in the germ. At last, the macrophages were ordered to detonate the germs.

The 9 macrophage brothers followed the antigen brothers as they didn’t want to be left behind. They went up drilling up a hole in the germ cell and had them detonated. Germ number 2 and the other germs were then killed
In the meantime, the germ number 3 managed to flee away but he bumped into some patrolling guards in the Lilliput. The patrolling guards were known as the lymphatic cells. They began fighting as they met, after a few rounds, the lymphatic guards retreated as they found themselves at difficulty in defending. They later sought help from the lymphatic cells B hailing “Enemies! Let’s prepare to fight!”Also, they went to lymphatic cells T and seek for help saying “Quick! Let’s eliminate the enemies!”

The lymphatic family came out from their stay and had the germs wrapped up to destroy them at last.
The war in Lilliput had finally ended, the swelling part on Xiao Ming’s finger has finally vanished. Xiao Ming thanked all the courageous warriors (from all the white blood cells, macrophages, immunes, antigen and lymphatic cells) in the Lilliput for saving him from the harm of germs.

Not too long after, there were again a bunch of germs infiltrated into the Lilliput through the blood stream. The warriors in Lilliput resorted to fight off the germs.
But strangely the enemies were not fighting back that actually the warriors had mistaken them as enemies. The real enemies had died earlier that they were just the corpses of the dead germs. It wasn’t their fault as it was not easy to differentiate between living and dead germs. The dead germs were just way more contracted than the living ones that it was so hard to differentiate.

Come to know that the war was actually a plotted rehearsal that the doctor  gave to Xiao Ming through an injection by inserting some dead germs into the body. It was to have the white blood cells, macrophages, antigen trained for a war. After experiencing this war, the warriors are more vigilant and motivated than before.


Thoughts

How was the one day trip in the human body? Isn’t it great that our body has such an interesting story?  Speaking about germs, there are various types of microorganism living in our surrounding for instance, viruses, germs and fungi. They could infiltrate into human’s body in no time that would eventually cause us to fall sick. Therefore, having a complete defense system is crucial to prevent the invasion of these germs.

Human body has 3 layers of defense. The preliminary defense is our skin that is exactly like what the story highlighted, the skin would excrete sweats in aim to eliminate germs. The second defense layer is the phagocytosis effect. If germs managed to infiltrate the first defense system, macrophages cells would act as the agents to swallow the germs and later have them dissolved. If a large quantity of germs invaded into the body causing our second defense to fail, we would then fall sick.

As we fall sick, the third defense system would be activated through the source of lymphatic cells. Lymphatic cells are made of bone marrows, and their main function is to excrete antigen to get rid of germs.

I believe you should now understand how our human defense system works. Isn’t human body a miraculous thing? Human life has an immeasurable potential, since our body cells are as great already, we should be way greater because we live on ten million of body cells. So, we should not underestimate our potential.

Germs could bring harm to us, but without their existence, how would we grow stronger? The story highlighted about the use of dead germs to improve our body cells’ vigilance and strength. This applies to us as well, when problems in life serve as the tests of our willpower. Willpower is the ability of not being oblivious of ourselves and being able to exceed ourselves, the ability to define ourselves. Life would not be easily taken away should we endure hardships and get coarsened by problems.

The true beauty of life is the glory that shines from our life. By setting a vast dream and have it perfused into our life, we would achieve the brightest glory of life.
