Life like a mouse

Things around us may sometime reflect the story of our life.

When we were born, it’s like plugging a mouse into the computer. We’re the pointers on the screen that glides freely around the colourful desktops and wallpapers. There could be lots of unknown formulas in a computer that has yet to be learned. It all begins with a click, or double click…

When we’re moving the mouse around, the pointer follows. Wherever we want to go, it’s all up to us to decide. When it comes to making decisions in life, it feels pretty much like clicking a file. But when there might be some changes taking place, it feels like double clicking a software. In life, decision making is everywhere. Friends, jobs, studies, religions, these could all be chosen but comes with a great influence. If we made a wrong move in life, it could do us harm like opening up a virus. For example, if we picked the wrong person as friend, we might get exposed and influence as if we were poisoned by such virus.

When we’re learning and investigating something, it’s like right clicking a file looking up for its properties. When we intend to share experience or thoughts, it feels like as if we’re right clicking that folder to send it to other places. When we multi-select on the computer, it’s just like our multi-tasking ability in life. When we got bored of something, we can always choose to minimize it or even closing it.

Choices are everywhere in life. When we first moved the mouse to its destination, we’ve got to think thoroughly in that short period of time to ensure that the decision won’t bring us regret. Our everyday life is just like clicking and double-clicking files and folders, it repeats over and over again until the mouse plug was removed from the computer. Why do I say so? Because when we took out the mouse, the pointer stood still on the colourful screen. Life is a continuing routine, life is eternal. When a new mouse is plugged in, the pointer will be revived to make decisions again.
