Few years ago, there was a young couple who got married with a baby. Unfortunately, the wife passed away from Dystocia, leaving only the child behind.
The father had to work at day and do housework at night, he had no one to look after the child, so he trained a dog. It was a very good dog that could take care of the child. It would hold a bottle of milk with its mouth to feed the baby.
One day, the father went out and had asked the dog to take care of the child. Unluckily, he couldn’t make it home on time because of a blizzard.
On the next day, when the father returned home, the dog was barking. When he opened the door, all he could see was blood! The floor, the bed, it was all filled with blood! The baby’s gone, and there was blood stain on the dog’s mouth! He thought that the dog was starved and that it had eaten the baby. So, he took a knife from the kitchen and ‘chop’! The dog was murdered under the master’s anger…
After a few moments, the father could hear some noise from underneath the bed. It was the baby! The baby wasn’t hurt, but he was crying…
To make things clearer, the father looked at the dog again and noticed that one of its legs had been missing! He was so astonished to find a wolf lying still under the table! There was meat in its mouth, it… it was that dog’s leg!
The dog saved the baby, but was murdered by the father in the end… What a sad misunderstanding…
Postscript:
Some of the people would have heard the story. But here, we must explain the story well to the children, informing them the how severe a misunderstanding case could turn out. In the same time, we could educate them not to judge things too shallowly as it is unfair to one another.
Misunderstanding usually happens when we don’t understand a situation, or when we’re being irrational, lacking of correct judgement made only after we’ve thought of it thoroughly.
There could be lots of things that go on the wrong way when we’re being driven by irrational emotion. When a misunderstanding began, we’d think of that person as the culprit; hence, stepping deeper into the wrong spot. When we’ve gone too far, certain consequences would be devastating, like the story we’ve shared. If a misunderstanding can bring such drastic ending between a man and a dog, imagine how bad could it be between people?
