President Ikeda issued a new guidance to the YMD and YWD in the “5.5 Soka Gakkai’s Successor’s Day” meeting on the 10th of May 2009.


Your development, is the crown of victory.
Your advancement, is every family’s victory.
Learn, with a courageous heart! And achieve a total victory!
I’m praying about this.


President Ikeda once said: “Every Junior Division is my precious treasure, the Soka Gakkai Organization’s future, and the world’s hope. Plus, the activities of Junior Division are a Challenge King’s meeting, it’s a meeting for the Young Lion Kings’ to ignite their courage and hope.” There’s nothing more brilliant than a youth’s life, when all of you are getting involved in kosen-rufu activities, and at the same time, seriously participating in your school academic and co curriculum activities. Participating activities with friends, and working hard with Junior Division PICs, deepening each other’s determination, and planting an important seed of “cause” for the sake of the total victory of future. Thus we can’t just sit and think alone in the house, but to be a professor of victory who achieves victory in every aspect. In history, the noble person will take action with continuous courage, never giving up no matter what problem they face, and at the end, achieving victory.

Nichiren Daishonin taught his disciples: “I’m in a treasure tower.” This piece of gosho explains that everyone’s life is the most precious treasure within this enormous universe, where unlimited potential lies beneath. A Brazilian Astronomer, Dr. Morang said: “Just like the stars in the universe, everyone has his/her own brilliant illumination.” Only daimoku, courage and faith could be the driving forces enabling our precious lives to illuminate till the brightest. While all of you glimmering yourselves to the fullest, your parents will be very proud of you. Even people around us would admire the greatness of faith when they perceived your vibrant growth.

“Victory”, was crowned because of you have forged ahead radiantly.

Family members who love you, and even mankind, have permeated hope to the future because of your courageous advancement.

Let’s chant with full spirit, continuously learning, and being filial to our parents!

I’m looking forward of seeing all of you growing in the family of this organization. If you encounter any problem or trouble, please have a dialogue with the aunts, brothers and sisters in Soka Gakkai. A person with faith, courage, and mentor, could hardly be hindered by problems.

Our mentor, President Ikeda and his wife, and all the aunts, brothers, and sisters taking care of you, are all vigorously chanting for all of you, praying that you would achieve what the guidance has mentioned, “Advancement and a total victory”!
