The Future Division is The Treasure of the World’s Hope

“Future does not just happen in the future. It is created by present; it is being built from now.”
The Soka Gakkai’s eternal victory also depends on the training of capable person in the present.
There’s a point in the 2009 activity guidelines that says:

From the following 50 years onwards, the Soka Gakkai’s future depends on the growth of the Future Division.

We must take them as a member of the ‘Soka family’ and guide them to participate in the daily activities of the organization. In the same time with planning, we must take the Future Division’s monthly activity as a center point in order to let them inherit the ‘Spirit of Mentor and Disciple’.

The second act of kosen-rufu is how we let the others to see the spirit of President Ikeda on us. Hence, I’ve determined to encourage each other, to stimulate the infinite potential, and be a JD PIC who could walk towards the ‘Path of Mentor and Disciple’ with the children.

President Ikeda said: “There’s no special way or short cut in nurturing and educating our children. Our children’s growth depends on our sincerity. It is our sincerity in accomplishing our mission that will set up our children’s foundation in life.

The Soka Gakkai has such achievement today because of President Makiguchi and President Toda’s determination of being prepared to risk their lives. President Ikeda who has inherited such a great spirit, started fighting for every member just like a pendant. He always hopes that every single member is the happiest person on earth. Thus, we must also inherit the spirit of 3 of the presidents, and grow with our children in the Junior Division activities.

President Ikeda once said: “Every kid’s life is just as precious as the cosmo. Everyone possesses some extraordinary intelligence and capability. There won’t be a single kid without a mission.”

It is very important that in the growing stage of a toddler, we should note on what kind of person they’ve met, or what kind of adults are being with them, and also a person to encourage them with a word or two. Why don’t we just praise them for the good things they’ve done rather than blaming them for the bad ones – this is the way of educating a person. Let’s view our children’s potential with a wider perception. This is why President Ikeda once said: “I have my own mission, and you have your particular mission too.”

Humans are weak. When there isn’t anyone to encourage them after a long time, they would probably neglect their practice. Therefore, encouragement is needed when there’s people are weak, hard-work is needed when there’s laziness, reminder is needed when there’s pride, and we should always help with a true heart. We call these people ‘good influence’ in the Buddhism.

By here, let’s be determined and inherit the law of the human revolution, being a trusted good influence to our children. Let’s guide our children to grow healthily, and pace towards a right life, and let’s show them the greatest spirit of ‘Mentor and Disciple’. This is the nobleness of the Soka Gakkai.

From 2009 onwards, let’s work hard for the capable person of kosen-rufu in the following 50 years, and even 100 years!
